Opportunity - Limited Time - Invitation Only

Brand New Social Bookmarking Type Of Site

Here's a ground floor opportunity for you, and it's absolutely free!

Qassia launched on 4 January this year. Its aim is to become another huge store of online information, all contributed by its members.

You can also add your own websites, and the more information you add (known in Qassia as "intel"), the more credits you get, and the higher your websites will rank in its web directory.

There will also be a financial incentive, driven by advertising on each "intel" page - and you get 100% of that revenue.

OK, maybe the concepts take some thinking about, but my advice is to get in now on the ground floor. I'm giving you this info in advance of making an announcement in "Update".

Currently, you can only join through a personal invitation, so here's my invitation to you. Sign up through my Qassia page here: http://lenwilton.qassia.com
Check it out here

The Definition Of Affiliate Marketing Is?

Affiliate marketing has many descriptions, yet all have the same meaning. Affiliate marketing is a huge business piece on the Internet. It is a cooperative effort between merchants and an affiliate's website. For many years now, affiliate marketing has proved to be a cost-efficient, measurable method of delivering long-term results. It has become famous for Internet sites who are trying to make some extra or additional income for their site. Every day, people get interested to affiliate marketing and want to make money out of it. But in many cases, these new affiliates do not fully understand the affiliate world and make costly mistakes. In other words, affiliate marketing has often been misunderstood.

One of the common misconceptions that are being associated about affiliate marketing is "selling" though selling is an important activity of affiliate marketing and the central function of a business operation. Another is that affiliate marketing is commonly linked with "advertising." While the importance of advertising in marketing a certain product is not to be underestimated, the fact of the matter is, advertising like selling, is merely a part of the many functions of marketing.

In affiliate marketing, an affiliate is compensated for every visitor, subscriber, and/or customer provided through his efforts. The said compensation may be made based on a certain value for each visit. The most attractive aspect of affiliate marketing from the merchant's viewpoint is that no payment is due to an affiliate until results are appreciated.

Affiliate marketing is typically being run by affiliate networks and this affiliate networks are composed of two functional bodies, the group affiliates, and the group merchants. Each has their special function and role when it comes to affiliate marketing. The affiliate network acts as a third party between the merchant and the associated affiliates. The network provides the technology to deliver the merchant's campaigns and offers. The affiliate network also collects commission fees from the merchant and then pays the affiliates which are part of the program.

The merchant is any web site owner that wants or desires to take advantage of performance based marketing. The benefits to the merchant are many. First, the merchant maintains and operates the affiliate program. If it would be extracted, the merchant needs to do their part by researching interested affiliate websites to ensure that they are a good fit for that particular website. Finding a fit for their merchandise would be the key to more generated income. The merchant has access to markets and customers without him spending valuable time searching out. Banner ads on affiliate sites are not distracting to the site user. It might produce interest for that product and drive the consumer to the merchants' website. It is also the merchant who decides how much he is willing to pay for each sale that results from a visitor sent from an affiliate.

The affiliate or the affiliate marketer also sees a lot of benefits. The affiliate is a web site owner that promotes one or more merchants and their affiliate programs. Affiliate marketing can generate a full-time income for the affiliate. But this is not an easy task to accomplish. The affiliate needs to have a better understanding with the merchant what the commission will be, expected payment method, and time involved in the contract. The affiliate has also the responsibility to stand for the merchandise their user based would be most interested in. For example, if the site has a user base of mainly stay-at-home mothers, then on-line job openings such as surveys would be a good match for them. This group would also appreciate direct links to children's products and informational sites. Merchandisers often provide targeted, best-seller items and personal support to their affiliate. They often offer sales promotions that will benefit the merchandiser as well as the affiliate.

Affiliate marketing is a great situation for both the marketer and the affiliate. If they would work together, they can be an advantage to both. Plus the fact that it seems to make sense, it is easy and inexpensive way to start, and you can be up and running within a few days. But there is one thing to consider, it is how to get traffic and make your offer different than all others.

Broadband Speeds Increasing?

By Stephen Mason

Regulator OFCOM has launched a consultation running until December to discover ways in which the UK can keep up to date with the speeds of broadband in other nations.

Regulator OFCOM has launched a consultation running until December to discover ways in which the UK can keep up to date with the speeds of broadband in other nations.

The speeds we are currently running on have a natural limit yet expectation and demand will soon outstrip our current capabilities of bandwidth.

In other countries, network speeds of 100Mbps are already being rolled out and some experts are worrying that the UK is falling behind its competitors.

The debate on whether the UK should put a nationwide fiber network in place continues, which would provide users with speeds of up to 50Mbps. But at a cost of up to £15bn is this solution very feasible? OFCOM underlines the fact that no single technology will solve the growing needs for more bandwidth and to this end Virgin Media are currently trialling speeds of up to 50Mbps.

According to OFCOM, current broadband speeds in the UK reach an average of 4.6Mbps, which will be increased to up to 24 when next generation ADSL (named ADSL2+) begins rolling out next year.

Elsewhere in Europe, a 75 year old woman from Karlstad in central Sweden has been thrust into the history books with the world's fastest internet connection. Sigbritt Lothberg's home has been supplied with a 40 Gigabits per second connection, many thousands of times faster than the average residential link and the first time ever that a home user has experienced such a high speed.

Sigbritt, who is the mother of Swedish internet legend Peter Lothberg, has never had a computer before. Lothberg, along with Karlstad Stadsnat (the local council's network arm) has arranged the connection.

Network boss Hafsteinn Jonsson says, "This is more than just a demonstration. We're trying to persuade internet operators to invest in faster connections. [We] wanted to show how you can build a low price, high capacity line over long distances".

Sigbritt is now able to enjoy 1,500 HDTV channels simultaneously. Or if there is nothing to watch there, she will be able to download a full HD DVD in two seconds.

The secret behind this ultra-fast connection is a new modulation technique which allows data to be transferred directly between two routers up to 2,000 kilometres apart with no intermediary transponders. According to Stadsnat the distance is unlimited in theory; there is no data loss as long as the fibres are in place.

Cisco helped with the project, says Jonsson. He says, "the most difficult part was installing Windows on Sigbritt's PC".

Make the Leap to Affiliate Marketing Success!

by Stone Evans, The Home Biz Guy

If you are going to become a successful affiliate on the Internet, you need 3"intangibles." These are things that must come from WITHIN you.

===> Intangible 1 <===

First, you must have a strong WHY.

Why must you make affiliate marketing work? What is driving you? What is it that you CAN'T have in your life anymore and/or what is it that you absolutely MUST HAVE now?

For me, I couldn't stand working 12+ hours a day anymore and missing the experience of my children growing up. I also absolutely HAD TO HAVE the freedom of being able to control my life and finances through a little box that I could carry with me anywhere in the world and not be tied to anyone's time pressures or demands but my own. That was my carrot and my stick. I felt a great pain deep in my gut of missing out on my children's lives and the incredible freedom that succeeding in this business would provide for me. I found my why. You MUST find yours.

===> Intangible 2 <===

You must BELIEVE that it is possible.

If you don't believe that it's POSSIBLE for you to make money with affiliate programs or make your living on the Internet, you won't. It's that simple.

For me, figuring out that it was possible was just a matter of realizing that many other people were ALREADY making great money online. If they could do it, I could too. It would just be a matter of figuring out what those people were doing and then adapting it to my situation.

There is no shortage of undeniable PROOF that people (millions of them) are making money online with affiliate programs. Just get online and do some research and you'll find countless testimonials and stories of REAL PEOPLE making real money on the Internet. Or head to your local bookstore and you'll find the same documented evidence of this fact. Truth is, it's getting easier and easier to make money online with affiliate programs.

I've always said that "affiliate marketing" is the job of the future. In the "old" days, you had to go to a potential employer, apply for the position and hope for the best. Now you can simply go to any company you want, fill out their affiliate application and start work immediately. Affiliates are the new working class. Believe me, making money with affiliate programs or making your living on the Internet is WAY MORE than possible. It is pretty much (or will be soon enough) unavoidable now. Affiliate marketing is the "job" of the future that's already here TODAY.

===> Intangible 3 <===

You must be willing to MAKE THE LEAP.

Ready, FIRE, then aim... This is the operating philosophy you MUST adopt to succeed with affiliate marketing.

That's backwards for most people who like to aim before they fire. The fact is the Internet is a moving target... The only thing constant about it is change. You need to stop analyzing the game and simply jump into it. You can't learn from the outside... You have to be IN THE RING to truly understand it.

The lesson here is that you will never really be READY to start an affiliate marketing business. You simply have to start one. This is what I call "Making the Leap."

The good news is that the cost of failure on the Internet is very small. In the "brick and mortar" world you need to evaluate things very carefully before you decide to open up a business. It's almost always necessary to invest thousands of dollars to get an offline business off the ground. However, on the Internet you can often start a successful business for less than $100.
The Plug-In Profit Site is a great example of this.

is a great example of this.

You simply need get IN THE GAME... Each moment that you stay "out there," you're wasting valuable time that you could be learning and skills necessary to become a successful affiliate marketer. In fact, if you're not in the game yet, you're ALREADY behind the times. Make the leap to becoming a successful affiliate marketer today!
